Land Layby Kenya was founded in 2014 by a group of professionals in noble professions (Medicine, Accounting /Audit & Law) who value integrity, transparency and honesty. Our products have however been a subject of rigorous research and development over the last 5 years.
Structured on family legacy of land banking knowledge from one of our founder member, our vision for delivering alternative and affordable land ownership solutions continues to grow to greater heights. Phyllis Gathura-Tole; Co-Founder, Chief Finance Officer – Land Layby Holdings. Former Principal Auditor (Queensland Government – Shared Service Agency , Brisbane – Australia), Former Head of Internal Audit- Sarova Group of Hotels, Former External Auditor – Pricewaterhouse Coopers.
She brings to the company 40 years of Family Land Banking knowledge and experience. Other than great interest in audit, her life has always revolved around land banking since childhood. Most of her school holidays were spent locating beacons and studying terrains, a knowledge she now recons is almost intuitive.
Her understanding of the power of land value curve especially in offering double-digit returns and moderating the patience required in land banking gives the company a competitive edge. It is all about clinical and strategic decisions to buy or sell and not gut feelings.
Peter Tole: Founder and Chief Innovation Officer at Land Layby Holdings. Although a medical doctor who practices Medicine in Australia, Peter has great interests in Blockchain technology, financial derivatives and technical analysis of financial instruments. He has since applied and incorporated knowledge of derivative trading in Land Banking Kenya Options. He is currently leading a diverse team of experts based in Nairobi, New York, Auckland, several cities in India and Australia in the development of Africa’s first multinational blockchain land registry. The Blockchain land registry shall be powered by the Harambee token.
Victor Asoyo; Founding Director– Land Layby Holdings. Victor works in the Banking and Finance team on commercial banking transactions and advisory work with a focus on property and development, corporate finance, healthcare, SMSF lending, liquor and gaming, childcare, invoice factoring and general business lending. Victor holds a Bachelor of Law ( University of Adelaide ) and Bachelor of Science (Biochemistry) degree.
